Aamir | To play the lead in wife's directorial debut

Superstar Aamir Khan has finally let the cat out of the bag. The actor has confirmed that he is playing the lead in wife Kiran Rao's directorial debut 'Dhobi Ghaat'.

The superstar who had till now maintained silence about his involvement in the project, will be playing a full fledged role along with Smita Patil's son Pratiek Babbar, who had made an impressed debut in Aamir Khan's production 'Jaane Tu Yaa Jaane Naa'.

"...the cat is finally out of the bag. I am playing one of the leads in Kiran's film Dhobi Ghaat. The reason we kept this under wraps is that she didn't want to attract much attention towards her film. She wanted to make this film on real locations with a tiny crew, very guerilla style." The actor wrote in his blog.

Known as 'Mr Perfectionist' in Bollywood, the actor is delighted to have dodged the media for once. Aamir's last release was blockbuster revenge drama 'Ghajini'. The actor is also working on 'Munnabhai' director Raj Kumar Hirani's 'Three Idiots', which is an adaptation of Chetan Bhagat's bestselling novel 'Five Point Someone'.
